Service Description:

Community Based Alternative Program (CBA) was developed by the State of Texas to assist aged and disabled adults in need of home and community based services as an alternative to institutional care in nursing facilities.

Case Management:

Case Management is provided by your caseworker at the Texas Department of Human Services (TDHS). This waiver service includes:

• Skilled Nursing Care
  
• Physical Therapy
  
• Occupational Therapy
  
• Speech Therapy
  
• Respite Care
  
• Attendant Services
  
• Minor Home Modifications
  
• Adaptive Aids
  
• Medical Supplies

Client Eligibility:

Participants in the CBA program must be 21 years of age or older. They must be Medicaid eligible in the community under SSI, MAP protected status or meet the income and resource requirements for Medicaid benefits in nursing facilities.
